40 weeks...

and NO baby! I had my appt this morning and no change. I cancelled my induction for tomorrow, I just don't feel right rushing it. I think God has a better plan and I don't think Dr. Ruk's vacation schedule has anything to do with His plan for this baby, so I'm taking that out of the equation. I have an appt next Thurs where they'll do a sono to make sure everything is alright with the baby and if so, we wait until Aug 3 to induce. If the baby looks too big or not to be thriving, I guess I will go right in after that sono. Aug 3 is almost 2 weeks past my due date and Dr. Ruk says that after 2 weeks the placenta starts to break down and so you put yourself and the baby at risk. Interestingly, my mom sent me this article which was on the front page of the Houston Chronicle on Tuesday. It made me feel alot better about the situation, even if Scott is a little mad at me for "hogging" the baby.

I think it's great that you're leaving it up to God, He does know best after all. And I just have a feeling B2 will make an appearance before August 3. Hang in there Momma!

What's your problem baby #2? Don't you know there are people out here waiting to meet you and know your sex and name? Why are you being so selfish? :)

Yeah, keep 'em in the oven! They'll come out when they're ready.

"They'll" implies more than one, lady!!!

Yeah, I was talking about all babies in general, not just yours. Also, I've been forced to use gender-neutral pronouns to refer to your unborn child thanks to your selfish desire to "be surprised." WHATEVER.

You are much better at being patient than I am, but I applaud you for that. Both our little ones will be here in good time I'm sure!

I can understand Scott being annoyed that you are "hogging the baby". We want to meet him too!! Good luck Summer. You are a champ.

PS- I decided you must have a very comfy womb since your babies like to linger in there ;)
