Dates

  • Start: January 23, 2025 (Kickoff)

  • End: January 25, 2025 (Submission Deadline)

  • Judging & Awards: January 25, 2025 (Evening)

Eligibility

  • Open to all students (Bachelor, Master, PhD) and recent graduates.

  • We specifically encourage participants from Medicine, Informatics/Computer Science, Design, and Business backgrounds.

  • Teams should consist of 2–5 members. Solo participation is allowed, but teamwork is encouraged.

Project and Submission Requirements

  • All code and design assets must be created during the hackathon. You may use open-source libraries and frameworks, but the core idea and implementation must be fresh.

  • Submissions must be in English or German (English preferred for international reach).

  • You must submit your project via Devpost before the deadline.

Prizes

  • Main Prizes: Sponsored by Mahanc. (Details to be announced during Kickoff).

  • Incubation Opportunity: The most promising teams may be invited to present their ideas to Mahanc for potential long-term collaboration, mentorship, or startup founding support.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Winners will be selected by a jury based on the following weighted criteria:

  1. Impact & Innovation: Does this solve a real problem? Is the approach unique?

  2. Feasibility & Clarity: Is the idea realistic? Did the team answer the "9 Points" clearly?

  3. Execution & Design: How well is the prototype/mockup designed? Is the user experience considered?

  4. Business Potential: Is there a viable path to market or sustainability?
