Monday enters the chat.

I was trying to get to get some work done when suddenly my brain decided that it needed to see a list of all Death Cab for Cutie albums ranked RIGHT NOW.

My wheelchair's joystick stopped working when I got back home from a doc appointment. So I swapped out the joystick for the one on my previous chair. It worked, but turns out the orientation of that one is off by like 45 degrees. So I had to rewire my brain on the fly in the heat just to get out of the van and into the house. Took about 30 minutes.

Related: this is the best Coke Zero I’ve ever had.

Wearing my SomaFM tee today so that means jamming to some DEF CON.

Brain is fried from designing favicons. They’re hard and I’m out of design practice.

I’m back after a four-day power outage. Being a disabled web developer, a multi-day power outage is existential-crisis-inducing. My whole life's work and all of my skills and abilities suddenly gone and meaningless. When the power came back, it was like waking up from a bad dream. Did those four days actually happen?

Working on a little web app when suddenly out of nowhere my brain goes, "What if 1Password goes away and the app no longer works and you can't get any of your passwords and 1Password somehow lost all of their backups and you really need your passwords like right now? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO THEN, PRAY TELL?"

I’ve been obsessed with since signing up a week ago. Its fun, people-centered, old-web-meets-new-web vibe is lit and I’m 100% here for it.

Currently listening to RMS Titanic by Adam Young. I'm not sure why but I was obsessed with the Titanic when I was a kid. So I’m sitting here listening to Lifeboats and suddenly it moves into Nearer, My God, to Thee, the last song allegedly played by band on board the ship when it was sinking. Hit me right in the feels man.

Microsoft's Fluent emoji look pretty great. The lying face is weirdly off-putting. Loving them over here on status.lol tho! I’m interested in whether the novelty will wear off and make them too loud. #noxp
