It's a good thing I have a laptop, because I think my main computer is fucked.

I replaced the hard drive since the old one was on life support.

I bought a new hard drive, cloned the old hard drive to the new hard drive, then install the new hard drive.

The computer doesn't recognize the new hard drive.

So I take out the new hard drive and put the old hard drive back in...and the computer doesn't recognize the old hard drive either.

I'm glad I made a disk image on another external drive, but now I'm on my MacBook trying to figure out how to reformat this new hard drive or make it bootable because this is driving me up the wall.

UPDATE 1: I made a bootable windows USB thumb drive, so I'm gonna see if this at least lets me get into Windows so I can run Disk Manager and see if the computer recognizes it at all (even if it's not bootable).

UPDATE 2: That didn't work. Windows still couldn't "see" the drive using the command prompt. Now I've scrubbed the new SSD (it had an Acronis image on it), and I'm going to attempt to turn that into a bootable drive with Windows 11 using WinDiskWriter.

Employers, why do you do this? Folks are applying from home or at work and might not be able to be on camera (or want to be on camera, tbh) to answer your dumb questions. Especially when there's no assurance where that video will end up or if it will be deleted.

The only thing worse than this are the AI interviews that you get kicked into right after you apply somewhere.

I don't use Spotify. I barely use Apple Music (though I do pay for it through Apple One). I mainly use YouTube Music, but I turned off watch history, so it's always blank.

Today is World AIDS Day, and the theme this year is "Collective Action: Sustain and Accelerate HIV Progress."

It's the 36th anniversary of this day, and in my 43 years of living, AIDS has always been a part of my life.

I wrote a little about the significance of today, and included a post I wrote in 2003 dedicated to my uncle who died of AIDS. It's a little eerie how much of it is still relevant today.
