Subtext is a real person hiding behind a catchy Internet handle-- or possibly a really advanced bot with a vast library of phrases lifted from spam email. She reads a lot, ought to be writing more and making more art, and is generally just trying to figure things out and get it right most of the time. She believes in being kind to animals and responsible for pets, but still eats meat because it's just so delicious.

Subtext has a completely badass rainbow umbrella from Cirque du Soleil.
