AtapCafe was formed after the cafe name achieved the most votes from my coursemates, semester 6 Diploma in Chef Training students.. AtapCafe now replace the old 'Le Cafe' of KDU college for Tuesday Cafe Operation only! We, students are given the chance to come up with different cafe names as this is our last and final Project! AtapCafe is located in the KDU Foyer and operates ONLY on Tuesday - 10.30am to 2.30pm serving breakfast & lunch! So people do stop by AtapCafe and look for the promotions available!

Students are given RM400.00 to prepare 8 kinds of foods and 4 types of beverages for the 4 hours cafe operation.. Therefore, food items are limited..
Besides, AtapCafe is sharing the Foyer with 2 other classes so before you purchase any food items, remember to check out the MENU first!

This LOGO is fully HANDMADE and the budget for it is only RM50.00.. Some of the materials are donated by our members! We put our heart, sweat and blood in producing it.. There are more to come such as the menu stand, numberings and etc etc of a cafe..

Customers on the first day.. There are lots of them.. :) Do come back people! We are cooking again this coming Tuesday! Every alternate Tuesday, our group will cook while the other group will serve..

And my old friends who came all the way from INTI! Thanks Kelvin for dragging them all here! Appreciate it!

I was in-charged for the Spaghetti Carbonara that day.. Now I learnt a new way in preparing Carbonara as the first day menu and recipes are from our chef himself.. Even without bacon, the carbonara is awesome!

Then some of the people who are at the outside 'a la minute' kitchen! Daniel the Chef of the Day, Bala our boss, SK & Kukumaru Fong for burger station and finally Cobra and his GF the cash machine..

The First Day Dish.. Only 4 of them, heh.. The coming Tuesdays, we will have 8 dish and 4 types of beverages.. There are also promotions and each week's menu is different!

First and Second AtapCafe operation success! Everyone is happy including our chef.. Cheers people!

Queen Elizabbeth 2 (QE2) - Bianco's 20th Birthday

First time dining in QE2! It was an awesome place to celebrate our celebrity hotelier birthday, the Bianco.. Why QE2? Because our hero has been to the greatest place in Penang including the Ferringhi Grill in Rasa Sayang Resort! So, let's go somewhere special! I made some research about QE2 by reading other bloggers posts! Then planned out the party with Obala and Obanseng.. Well, for us, each and everyone of us enjoyed the place very well and the food is great plus the portion is BIG! We wanted to try their famous Pizza La Vostra but were actually bloated already.. Hehe..

So, we had white wine.. Birthday Boy treat us! The beverage price is quite expansive.. I only mention their beverage ok! Birthday boy uses his celebrity style to pour the wine!

Tadaa.. Heard of it? Dirt Cheap outside.. Expansive here :)

7th GT(N) '07.. Seriously our boss is missing loh.. He is somewhere in Dublin, Ireland! Another pussy and ah heng missing too..

And the Gay night starts! Who will be the first to reach China? One is going to World Summit another one I don't know where..

Cilantro of Mangrove Jack - Idamameh/ Edamameh beans available.. I love those beans! :p

Very creamy Linguini Carbonara! Look at the amount of bacon there! They went crazy and ordered 3 of this.. LOL!

Juicy Salt Baked Chicken - Kukumaru had this.. Western style salted chicken :)

Some spaghetti like bolognese..

My roast Chicken with Mushroom Herb sauce.. I love the melt in the mouth chicken but not the sauce.. Balsamic reduction goes well will with the vegetables!

Creamy Chicken Tagliatelle - Double mustard emulsion sauce goes very well with the chicken roulade with mushroom forcemeat.. Forcemeat is chicken meat blend with cream and sieve through the siever.. Very very smooth meat..

Grilled Chicken Skewers - Have you seen something like this?

Tiramisu -Amount of Kahlua soaking the sponge cake is just nice.. When you bite into the mascarpone cheese and then tastes the coffee taste its like Totally WOW!

The Birthday Cake we got from Ritz! Ritz gives the best chocolate/ cocoa product compared to most cake shops.. Chocolate cheese cake I present you..

Finally, we chosed this plate of art for the birthday boy.. The QUEEN'S TRIO! Comes with a piece of beef tenderloin, salmon steak and tiger prawn!
Beef is awesome, salmon too cooked, tiger prawn is wowzers!
Haha..

Petting Zoo - Lost World of Tambun

Back to Lost World of Tambun again! After playing hard at the slides, we cooled down and then went to the last place in the map.. The Petting zoo! We were lucky as the place is newly opened to visitors and the workers there is awesomly friendly.. Hehe.. Entrance fee is included in the RM30 entrance fee!!


By Sunway! Lost World of Tambun is the sister theme park of Sunway Lagoon.. That is what I heard.. Hehe..

And everybody knows him.. Can be found everywhere in Penang Island.. Haha!
There are alot more mini creatures including tortoise, snakes and pond/ river fishes..

Then we went into the birdie park and meet this awesome dude.. His name is Mr. Mano and he is the bird trainer in this sanctuary.. Be amazed when he can call the birds, high-5 with them, feed them with his mouth and etc etc..

Then you can go further inside.. There are deer, goats, wallaby and other huge animals.. We were late already and the are starting to close the zoo.. be there before 6 pm people!

Cowboy bear went visiting too.. LOL!
'PETTING ZOO' is a great place for the you and old and those who don't want to get wet!

Tambun Tigers are also available but not at 'Petting Zoo.' They are beside Kapua Cave and there are tiger shows available.. Rawr!
