Weekly Challenge #266: "UMT - Crux by Henrike Bratz"

A fun challenge this week by Laura. Being the first Monday of the month we were asked to use the tangle crux by Henrike Bratz.

My immediate thought, once I saw what the tangle looked like, was to use a black tile. On the original step out crux is drawn with the grid under the leaf shapes. My tile turned out with the leaf shapes weaving over and under the grid.

Muster Mixer #18 - auraknot & paradox

Hi everyone.

I really enjoyed this months Muster Mixer challenge by CZT, Anya Lathrop. Anya asked us to use the tangles auraknot and paradox and mix them together in some way.

To begin, I drew a four pointed star shape and added the first aura as if drawing auraknot. From there I added a diagonal line (like the first line in drawing paradox) beside the aura inside the top point. From there, continuing the sequence for drawing auraknot, I alternated an aura for auraknot and another paradox line, until the pointy bits of the star shape were filled. Paradox was then used to fill the centre of the star and the black lines extending out finished off this tile.

Not sure if you can understand this wordy description of how this tile was achieved, but I love the outcome.
