NEW TANGLE PATTERN - ARCOTRES

In my last post I introduced you to 'Arcodos', which is arc + two in Spanish. Today I am introducing 'Arcotres', as an extension to 'arcodos'. In keeping with the Spanish language 'arcotres is arc + three.

Arcotres uses the same grid and you draw it the same as arcodos plus one more line.

Here are the step outs for Arcotres for your exploration and creativity.

NEW TANGLE PATTERN - ARCODOS

Welcome to 2015!

I hope everyone enjoyed a festive Christmas and a fun New Years Eve. Here's looking to a great 2015 for everyone.

Over the Christmas & New Year break I have been playing with a new pattern and its many variations.

So, to start off the New Year, I thought I would introduce you to 'arcodos'.

Arcodos is a grid based pattern using orbs and arcs. It was named arcodos as it uses 2 arcs. 'Arco' means 'arc' in Spanish and 'dos' is the number two. I chose spanish because I am slowly learning to speak spanish & now I know two new words.

So here is the step-out and a tile using arcodos.

Arcodos is a pattern which can be varied to create many tangleations.

In this next tile you can see I used arcodos in free form.

I hope you enjoy using arcodos when tangling.
I would love to see what you can do with arcodos also.
Feel free to send me an email or a link to your tile.

Cheers for now.

Weekly Challenge #162: "String Theory - Initial String"

This week, the Diva challenged us to using out initials as the string for a tile.

I really enjoyed playing with this challenge. I have used my initials on various occasions before and each time I use my initials as the string I come up with something totally different.

This is my tile for this challenge using my initials.

Can you spot the 'L' and the 'W'?

Cheers & happy tangling, until next time.
