Tonight I am thankful for a fun night out in the middle of the week. We went to an art party featuring my favorite artist, Kate Crossland Juett. Last year, I bought my first piece of art from her and I am still amazed and inspired by it every day. It is the top painting in the picture, but I don't think a picture can do it justice. You really need to experience Kate's work in real life. She does collage art with painting, hand sewn beads, and vintage stamps. It was great to visit with Kate again and to see her latest body of work. After the party, we went to dinner with Sutton's aunt and uncle and our dear friends, Patty and Randy. It was nice to go out and relax in the middle of the week. It was also nice to take a break from all of the election news.

I am so sad I missed this again. I told you I wanted to see her work when she was in town again. Did you get anything this year?
Not this year, but her work was awesome. I just got my invitation last week and it kind of snuck up on me. I am so sorry I did not think to call you. The show was open to the public today, but she may have a show in Dallas in December.
Sorry we missed it but I am glad you guys had a good time.
