SAMKUL application evaluation received

Today I was informed (upon requesting information, which had not arrived to my collaborator the Project Manager) that our 2012 SAMKUL research application (see previous posts, from 2012) got the grade 4 (out of 7) in the international peer-review. The 6-page evaluation report made quite good sense.

In the application I was the prospective Assistant Project Manager.

No funding for PERLAR (November 2012)

The application for research funding from SAMKUL (Samfunnsutviklingens kulturelle forutsetninger - the cultural preconditions of societal development) in which I was involved as a prospective Assistant Project Manager, with Paul Thibault as Project Manager, "Perceptions of Animal Agency: Large Predators and other Cultured Animals" (PERLAR), did not get funding.

Here's an overview of the 15 projects that did get funding - announced in November 2012 (as the overview shows, no applications from University of Stavanger or University of Agder were successful).

SAMKUL decision on PERLAR etc. delayed

The research program SAMKUL (Samfunnsutviklingens kulturelle forutsetninger - the cultural preconditions of societal development) was supposed to give notice about what research projects get funding at some point in October. However, the process is delayed and decisions will only be taken November 22nd-23rd.

The prospective research project "Perceptions of Animal Agency: Large Predators and other Cultured Animals" (PERLAR), with Paul Thibault as Project Manager and myself as Assistant Project Manager, is one of 138 applications. 12-14 projects are expected to get funding.
