About This Journal
This is a journal to comment on others or if LJ is down. My main is under Livejournal, same name.

All About Eve...er, Thea, TJ, Jess, Jesi.
Alatheia means "truthful." She was the Greek female personification of Truth. For more information, check here. That's where the Thea comes from. I first used the name as I changed from a messy fandom split and just wanted to start over with a new set of people who believed in me - instead of falsehoods and exaggerations. Now I go my name, Jesi.

I'm a fairly vocal 30-year-old that has no need to worry about fandom politics. You either like me, or you don't. You either read what I write, or you don't. I don't worry about those things.

If I don't like you, you'll know it. I see no reason in being deceptive. I might not like an action you make, and I'll tell that, too. Basically, I don't hold back in my feelings. Apparently, this makes me a low-monitoring personality. Oopsies.

My life is far too chaotic on it's own, and I see no reason in making my downtime so dramatic. If you want drama, then don't bother reading my journal. That's not to say I won't have "WTF?" reactions on fandoms. I mean, well, we're a community, after all.

I'm a diabetic (diagnosed 4/29/2004) so occasionally I'll talk about that. Living with the disease is a constant thing, so of course it has to crop up occasionally. I was also on anti-seizure medication in childhood since I had several seizures that stopped me from breathing. That might come up, too. Usually in connection with the diabetes.

I like different characters depending on the show. I'll enjoy Cordelia on Buffy, but hate the same character on another show. Or I'll like a Teyla Emmagan from SGA but find the same type of character elsewhere quite boring. All fits into context. Same with the actors playing them. If they can't inspire me to root for them, typically I don't care about them. David Hewlett as Rodney McKay (SGA) and Joe Flanigan as John Sheppard keep me interested in their interactions as the characters because they play off each other well; snarky banter and physical reactions to it fleshes out what the writers want. (But I'm not a fan of Hewlett in general. Just the Shep interactions.) That's what I like in a show. I want something that makes me think and want to be a part of the world it's created. But I don't care much for people speaking ill of Flanigan to up Hewlett. If you have to degrade characters and actors constantly, then don't bother friending me. Save yourself the trouble.

Also, I've recently discovered hockey. It's a thing now. I am a fan of the Predators, Hurricanes, Sharks and Gwinnett Gladiators. Not necessarily in that order.
