Our 2024 impact statement
Welcome to our Impact Statement, an overview of our agency's commitment to making a positive difference within eCommerce and retail. With this statement, we hope to create a lasting, positive impact on society and the environment.
Our D&I committee
Vervaunt has formed a D&I Committee formed of volunteers from the team to prioritise inclusivity and equity within the organisation. Recognising the importance of fostering a diverse and supportive workplace culture, the committee focuses on various initiatives such as charity fundraising to support marginalised communities, mental health first aid training to promote employee well-being, and diversity initiatives aimed at fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
Charity fundraising
Vervaunt is committed to giving back to the community through our diverse charity fundraising efforts. From supporting the homeless charity Shelter to donations to MacMillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research, we strive to make an actionable difference in people's lives. Contributions to organisations like Mind and Grief Encounter reflect our dedication to mental health awareness and support, and inclusivity is at the forefront of our efforts, demonstrated by our participation in Movember and International Women's Day. Looking ahead, our upcoming trek up Snowdon to raise funds for CALM charity and matching colleagues' donations for the London Marathon further showcase our ongoing commitment to great causes.
The eCommerce community
Vervaunt actively participates in industry community groups, including Amazing Women in eCommerce and Ecommerce Pride, to foster diversity and inclusion within the eCommerce sector. Through our involvement, we aim to celebrate and amplify the voices of women in eCommerce, as well as advocate for LGBTQ+ representation and equality within the industry. By collaborating with these community groups, we contribute to a more inclusive and supportive environment for all individuals involved in eCommerce.
Environmental care
Vervaunt has partnered with Gigacycle for eco-friendly electronic waste disposal, minimising our waste footprint. Our commitment extends to using sustainable merchandise for events, reducing single-use plastics at conferences, and opting for eco-friendly materials. We prioritise responsible travel by flying only when necessary and preferring train travel, reducing emissions and promoting greener transportation alternatives.
Governance and our workers
Vervaunt also prioritises strong governance through several positive initiatives for our team. We've implemented an e-waste policy for remote workers, ensuring responsible disposal of electronic devices. Environmental stewardship extends beyond the office with policies promoting eco-conscious practices at home. Our corporate travel policy emphasises sustainability, encouraging alternatives like train travel whenever possible. Additionally, our breastfeeding at work policy promotes a supportive and inclusive workplace environment for new mothers.
