Łódź is the third largest city in Poland with the population of about 750,000. It is located in the central part of the country.  On the postcard you can see Ludwik Geyer's White Factory where the Central Museum of Textile Industry is now placed. It hosts exhibition of tools, textile machinery, clothes etc. The factory was built between 1835 and 1839.

Marta sent me the upper gorgeous postcard showing doors of Gdańsk, a Polish city on the Baltic coast (southern edge of Gdańsk Bay). Gdańsk is Poland's principal seaport, the center of the country's fourth-largest metropolitan area and an important industrial center.

Most tourist attractions are located along or near Ulica Długa ("Long Street") and Długi Targ ("Long Market"), a pedestrian thoroughfare surrounded by buildings reconstructed in historical (primarily during the 17th century) style and flanked at both ends by elaborate city gates. This part of the city is sometimes referred to as the Royal Road, since it was once the former path of processions for visiting kings.

The anteater stamp is simply adorable ;) Thanks, Marta!

Ewa sent me a postcard of the highest waterfall in Poland - Waterfall Kamienczyka. It is so stunning how similar Croatian and Polish are: the word "wodospad" means waterfall, and the Croatia word for it is "vodopad" (I read that word on the front of the card, so I thought this would be interesting to share with you). Thank you, Ewa ;)

Zamość is a town in southeastern Poland with approximately 70 000 inhabitants. The historical city centre of Zamość was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992. The postcard shows Great Market Square, an example of the beautiful architecture that can be found all over the historical centre of  Zamość. It really seems lik an amazing city. I wish to visit it some day :)

Ania used many nice stamps. I especially like the triangle-shaped one. Thanks, Ania!

Wilanów Palace is a royal palace located in Warswa, Poland. It is one of the most important monument of Polish culture and,  a priceless part of Polish history and a place where many cultural events and concerts are held. It was built by king Jonn III Sobieski ( most famous for the victory in the Battle of Vienna in 1683) in the 17th centure, but during the history has changed several owners. Finally, in 1962 it was reopened to the public.

Gabi, the sender of this nice postcard, says that it's one of the most beautiful places in the whole Warsaw. What I've seen so far, I'd totally agree. Thanks to Gabi for such a fantastic postcard and a cute stamp :)

Here comes a card from Poland that I recently received. Ola sent me this great view of Warsaw and helped me with my mission to collect a single view card written and stamped from each county in Europe. One county less thanks to Ola! Thank you, Ola :) I really like the view on Old Town Square, Warsaw.
Warsaw is the capital city and the largest city of Poland with he population around 1,7 million, making Warsaw the 10th most populous city in the European Union. It is also known as the "Phoenix City" because it has survived many wars throughout its history.
