2026 RFPs
The California Foundation for Independent Living Centers, Inc. (CFILC) is seeking qualified organizations to provide services as Device Lending and Demonstration & Assistive Technology Reuse Centers. All interested organizations across California are encouraged to apply. Please read the eligibility criteria to ensure your organization is eligible before applying. Interested applicants can apply to be a Device Lending & Demonstration Centers, an Assistive Technology Reuse Centers or apply to serve as both for their region. Applying for both separately within the same region will disqualify both proposals.

Question: If a center is awarded the grant and would like to have some equipment sent to partnering AT centers during the first 1½ months, will the awarding center be in charge of shipping costs? Or will this be covered by CFILC during the initial distribution of equipment?
Answer: If a center is awarded the contract and would like to have some equipment sent to partnering AT centers during the first 1½ months, the cost will be covered by CFILC during the initial distribution of equipment. The successful applicant will work with the Ability Tools Team to coordinate item distribution and shipping.
