Summarizing the accomplishments and efforts of McMaster’s students, staff, and faculty working to enhance and move forward accessibility and disability inclusion work at the University. The 2024-2025 ADIU is inclusive of 28 submissions we received from across faculties, services, and individuals. With more than 60 submissions from across faculties, administrative units and student communities, the 2020-2021 Update shines a light on the incredible efforts of McMaster community members in driving accessibility and disability-centred scholarship, service, administrative, community, and advocacy-related work forward within the University. Open Accessibility is an accessible comic, created by artist and student, Michelle Sayles, to capture and illustrate a history of disability work and advocacy at McMaster University and to supplement McMaster’s FLEX Forward accessible education resource for instructional staff

The User Testing Report for Web Accessibility Project was created, coordinated, and led by a collaborative partnership of students, staff and instructors with disabilities at McMaster to investigate the testing of an institutional accessibility website for AODA web accessibility compliance

What are scholarships and bursaries?

Scholarships (also called awards) are funding that’s awarded based on your academic and extracurricular achievements. Some are automatically awarded based on grades and others require an application.

Bursaries are funding provided by McMaster based solely on financial need. In most cases information from your OSAP application is used to determine your financial need but some students who don’t receive OSAP may still apply for a bursary.

Both are non-repayable funding, which means you don’t need to pay it back!
