About Us
Our Divisions
Our building division reviews plans and inspects buildings to ensure Ada County residents are safe in any building they walk into.
Our planning division processes land use applications in unincorporated Ada County and works with the Ada County Historic Preservation Council to encourage the preservation of historically and culturally significant sites and structures throughout Ada County. They also work to plan for Ada County’s future by creating our Comprehensive Plan and working with other agencies on various long range growth projects.
Our engineering and surveying division reviews preliminary plats, drainage plans, private roads, hillside applications, floodplain permits, and property boundary adjustments in unincorporated Ada County.
Our permitting division assists with the submittal requirements for applications, accepts all applications submitted to Development Services, processes payments, completes Public Record Requests, reviews building permits, and completes over-the-counter processes for simple additions/shops/remodels/agricultural structures and other projects.
