About

Banco: Forno di Grano is a boutique artisan bakery dedicated to the craft of Italian baking and pasta, with grain at the centre of everything.

At its heart, Banco is a working “forno”: a bakery where dough is mixed, fermented, shaped and baked throughout the day. Everything is made on site, from pastries to fresh pasta and focaccia.

Mornings at Banco are centred around Italian pastry and expertly made coffee from Calabria. The banco (the counter that gives the bakery its name)features freshly baked cornetti, various types of brioche, and a rotating selection of traditional Italian cakes and biscuits.

At lunchtime, the focus shifts to generously filled focaccia Romana, stuffed focaccia sandwiches made fresh on site using Banco’s own Roman style bread (“pizza bianca”), and layered with the finest Italian ingredients.

Fresh pasta is produced daily to take home to cook, allowing customers to bring a part of the Grano experience into their own kitchens.

Banco is a neighbourhood bakery, rooted in artisan craft, and focussed on doing simple things well.
