Summing up last month's Girls Into Coding 3-Day Bootcamp in just two words:🌟 EPIC & EMPOWERING. 🌟

For a thrilling three days, our vibrant community of girls had the opportunity to dive into our hands-on bootcamp program aimed at empowering girls through technology and engineering, teaching them new digital and maker skills, fostering teamwork, resilience, making new friends and having plenty of fun along the way!

Throughout the Bootcamp, the girls were immersed in the world of robotics, got hands-on experience building and programming robots; explored physical computing by bringing their projects to life with code, worked with microcontrollers & electronic components. They navigated the full creative process from idea generation to design, engineering, testing, and making. They handled materials and explored the use of tools & equipment such as soldering irons & drills. Their creativity shone through in activities ranging from CAD software design, building, making, engineering, coding, 3D printing, and 3D scanning.

A big thank you to our dedicated team of mentors, volunteers, the girls & their parents!

Special thanks to EPAM Systems for sponsoring this bootcamp, & to Central Research Laboratory, Plus X Innovation for being our fantastic hosts. A huge shout out to Steffi Murphy & Jacob from Plus X innovation for their great assistance in the operations/logistics of the event and for making us feel so welcome throughout the entire event.

A final thanks to Pimoroni Ltd, Kitronik, TechSoft UK Ltd & The Design and Technology Association for donating cool gifts and resources for the girls!

None of this would have been possible without the invaluable support of all our partners, who play a crucial role in our mission to inspire more girls to explore tech and engineering and to continue the work we do!
