Girls Into Coding April 2023 Newsletter!

Our latest newsletter features a range of exciting topics, including part one of our two-part series on women in the motorsport industry. It’s no secret that men dominate the motorsport industry. While it would be great to see more women taking the racing line, there's another avenue into a fantastic career in motorsport via tech.

We also take a look back at our in-person event on April 16th, announce our upcoming Girls Into Coding event on May 28th, showcase the Girls Into Coding 2022 impact report, share news about the innovative Cocoa 3D chocolate printer, and last but not least we talk about Rehana's fashion project!

We hope you enjoy reading our newsletter and we welcome you to connect with us on social media to stay updated. If you would like to receive our next edition straight to your inbox, visit us at Girls Into Coding and subscribe.

Girls Into Coding - April 16th, 2023
In-person Girls Into Coding Event - April 16th, 2023

Our Girls Into Coding event on Sunday, April 16th was a success and special in many ways! The girls were pumped as they delved into hands-on workshops related to air quality (a scaled-down version of Avye's Air Quality Pavilion Project), sustainability, physical computing, and 3D printing. The inspiring talks and joyful atmosphere added to the overall positive experience.

We greatly thank our phenomenal team of mentors and outstanding guest speakers, Emer Boothman, Inecke Snyder-Lourens & Ayesha. A special shoutout to Ayesha, a member of our Girls Into Coding Community, on her first-ever presentation that she delivered with passion and finesse - we couldn't be prouder! It is fantastic to see her grow in confidence throughout our program.

Huge thanks to EPAM Systems for their continued and invaluable support. And also, big thanks to Good Hotels for hosting us, particularly to Kevin and his team for their fantastic support on the day. Thanks to contributions like theirs, we can continue to do what we do.

Thank you all for making this event a success!
