Sewing Agnes

A while ago I made my first top from the Agnes pattern by Tilly and the Buttons. I am generally very pleased with the result, although it, after some wear, became obvious that I needed to make an adjustment the next time.

Left is how it’s sitting naturally, right is where my actual waist are.,

The thing is, I apparently have a long upper torso. I don’t know if it is because of boobs taking up extra fabric, or if it is just long. I think I will have to make an FBA on a top before I can tell surely.

Pinching out the hip space not sitting on my hip vs not having anything to pinch because it’s pulled down and hits my hip as it should.

Agnes seemed fine at first, but I found that I kept pulling it down and after some wear the side seams just wouldn’t have it anymore.

For the next one I’m adding about 3 cm, and if that doesn’t work, I will go for the boob theory and probably go up a size. This one is totally wearable though and that makes me very happy, I’ll just tuck it in and no one will know.
