Location Surveys

Do you have experience of a location where you:

  • live
  • work
  • carry out hobbies or leisure activities

being used by the Star Wars franchise?

Have you been involved in planning, decision-making, or licensing that has enabled the Star Wars franchise to use a location?

If the answer to any of the questions above is yes, the Environmental Impact of Filmmaking project would like to hear from you!

We’re carrying out research into how screen industry activities affect different environments.

To receive information about surveys and interviews that you can participate in, please use the contact form.

All queries and discussions will be confidential, and you can participate anonymously. More information about our ethics commitments can be found further down this page.

Technician Interviews

The project is interviewing people who have worked on any of the Star Wars films or TV shows. If you’ve contributed to designing, making, managing, or archiving props or film costumes in any job role then we’d love to hear from you! This is especially the case for below-the-line practitioners whose roles are less well documented in film histories.

For more information, please use our contact form.

All communications will be treated confidentially. Interviewees can participate anonymously.

Research Network

The EIF Network is a space for researchers at any career stage interested in the creative industries as they relate to the environment and sustainability. We meet online once or twice a term to share ideas, hear about works in progress, and develop collaborative approaches to research and teaching.

To join the network, please send an expression of interest via the contact form. You can find out more about existing members and their work on the Resources page.
