
Chandrika Rao to Retire July 1
Chandrika Rao, associate controller and executive director of Associated Entities and Investment Accounting, will retire from the University effective July 1, 2026, after 25 years of service.
Finance and Operations
The Finance team provides effective fiscal leadership and stewardship of University financial resources while partnering with campus schools and departments to manage funds, analyze and improve business processes and make strategic financial decisions that are compliant and timely.
The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) is prepared each fall by the University. The report contains the audited proprietary financial statements of the University, as well as those for the University’s fiduciary funds and component units.

When internal controls are discussed, the focus often centers on policies, segregation of duties, approvals and systems. While these are essential, they are only as effective as the people who understand and apply them.
