About Frenchcore

“Frenchcore” is a sub-genre of hardcore EDM (and hence, a part of the hard dance group). Frenchcore is more extreme than typical hardcore, with faster beats of typically over 200 BPM, and a more distorted and bouncy bassline.

Frenchcore, as in its name, originated from France in the early 90s from the earlier styles of hardcore. Overtime, it gained popularity in other communities, especially the Netherlands by 2010s, with innovations such as melodic styles, and incorporation of live instruments in Frenchcore shows.
