About New Age

New age, also thought of as “healing music,” is a genre specialized in providing serenity through pleasant-sounding records. It emerged from holistic and meditation fields.

Tony Scott’s Music for Zen Meditation (1964) is considered the first new age album. Additionally, the scene was influenced by Jean-Michel Jarre’s early 1970s electronic music. The New Age philosophy, which fostered a peaceful co-existence, propelled the genre into realization.

The general aesthetic is associated with therapeutic notions as well as spiritual transcendence. Standout projects include Watermark, Autumn, Sacred Road, and Caverna Magica.
