About Nintendocore
Nintendocore is a subgenre of metalcore that incorperates chiptune and video game elements. Named after the video game company Nintendo, Nintendocore emerged as a genre in the early 2000s and rose to popularity amongst gamers due to their lyrical themes revolving around video games. The genre reached the peak of its popularity in the late 2000s but is still around today outside of the limelight.
