About Rapcore
Rapcore is the fusion of hardcore punk and rap.
Its origins mostly lie in artists that started in one genre and started working in elements of the other or even fully transitioning genres, like the Beastie Boys going from hardcore to hip-hop or Chuck D of Public Enemy taking influence from bands like Black Flag. This form got especially popular in the 90s with New York Hardcore artists who started incorporating rap and other hip-hop elements over time.
A little later down the line, more artists and bands started out fully embracing both rap/hiphop and punk.
