BLS Library Policies & Procedures: Reference Assistance

Reference Assistance

Reference and research assistance is available from BLS reference librarians. They can answer questions about availability of sources, can assist with use of library databases (and other resources) and can help you to begin research.

When are BLS reference librarians available during the Fall and Spring semesters?

During weeks that BLS classes are in session: Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm + Saturday from 12pm-4pm.  Reference coverage exceptions during weeks that BLS classes are in session: Federal holidays + the BLS Thanksgiving Recess.

Visit reference staff in person on the third floor of BLS Library or contact us through:

  • Email:  askthelibrary@brooklaw.edu
  • Text:  718-734-2432
  • Chat (during reference coverage hours)
  • BLS reference librarians maintain 60+ legal research guides (guides) on many topics.  Our Library Learn It! videos discuss how to use these guides to start your research.
