We’ve been visiting some interesting events lately.
In May, Barry was at Makers Central at the NEC, to meet some of his maker and tech heroes. Andy went to Swindon to check out Retrofest UK, which was a great event celebrating all things retro computing and gaming. It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the nostalgia of old hardware and software.
A couple of the HackWimbledon regulars (Andy and Barry, again) are heading to Electromagnetic Field next month. We don’t have a specific plan yet, but we’ve marked our intended location on the site map as a starting point. It’s more of a spot to park (near) than a formal village, although Andy’s Forge & Craft studio may have some activities going on during the camp.

On Sunday 29th March, we have our Arduino Days event. Technically it is just after the official Arduino Days which are on March 27-28, but we already had our meetup scheduled for the 29th, so we thought we’d go with it.
As always, this is a free event, open to all. We do ask you to have a look at the About page, particularly the How it works and Can I join? sections, to get an idea of what we do and how we operate. We also ask that you register for the event via the link above, so we can get an idea of numbers and plan accordingly. If you’re under 18 we’ll ask you to come with a parent or guardian. We also encourage you to bring your own laptop and/or Arduino hardware if you have it, but we will have a few things available for use on the day.
