What’s the plan?

My plan with this blog is to write reviews of books I’ve read. I want to do it well though, so I need to spend some time on creating a certain format that would work for me. If you have any tips, please let me know.

Yeah, the wanting to do it well has to do with a uniform look and feel that makes it easier on myself and you guys. Something that looks good and makes sense.

It has nothing to do with the way I read, cause let me tell you, I read-read. If the book is on a website that allows comments, I will comment my heart out. I have no problem sharing my opinion.

In my reviews that is what you will get, my honest opinion. I am by no means a professional in any way. I just really enjoy reading and love talking about it. I have been ‘used’ as an editor by several authors, but never for my grammar skills. 😉 Mostly for how something flows or feels to me personally.

So, wish me luck on this new journey. I might be a little nervous about it.

Erm, this is a tiny bit scary. I set myself up with that title, didn’t I?

Let’s get a refill first. I’ll brb.

There. Coffee makes everything better. There’s a solid reason behind the title of this blog, as you might have picked up on already. Coffee is my fuel, my comfort, my joy. It’s the slightly too tight hug I need to get my day started.

This is my first official blog. I spent some time on some online journals back in the day and wrote about my personal life. But I want to try something different this time around. Eventhough I have no clue what I’m doing and what goes where. XD This is an on a whim kind of situation and I can’t make you any promises about activity.

A whim? Yeah, kinda. This person I care a lot about has a blog. I am a big fan of his writing and I wanted to support him on here too. So, it started with just making an account. But there’s one thing you should know about me: I am curious. And that makes me try things by myself. Even things that feel like something I wouldn’t enjoy. I just have to see how it works / what it does / find the answer to my question.

So here we are. hankiebeer.wordpress.com Why Hankiebeer? That has been my nickname since my teens. It basically became my brand. It’s part of me now. Hankie is what a lot of people call me, and I’m very comfortable with that.

Okay, for now this is it, I think. I need to spend some time playing around with all the options here and maybe make it look fancy.
