This is the last step in the editing process, and is used as the final chance to spot any errors or mistakes. Please only request this service if your work is ready for publication and has already gone through an editing process.

Copy EDITING

This is what I recommend if you want me to focus on your style, tone, and voice. I’ll also fix inconsistencies with UK/US spelling, grammatical errors and break up sections of text I feel are too long.

Developmental EDITING

I think of this as an extreme beta-read. I’ll focus on the big picture: plot and consistency, characters, scenes, pace and coherence. I’ll basically let you know if your story works, and where the weak (if any) parts are.

LINE EDITING

This is the typical “editing” you think of, where I’ll go through everything with a digital red pen, checking for spelling mistakes, errors in consistency, sentence structure, checking your plot is progressing etc. I’ll also suggest re-writing sentences, or whether or not I feel like a paragraph works. With line editing I will examine every detail of your writing and ensure it is fully polished.
