This website runs on Ghost CMS, a publishing platform used for websites, newsletters, memberships, and comments.
I try to keep things simple:
- No spam.
- No creepy tracking.
- No selling your personal information.
What Data Is Collected
This site may collect basic website analytics, such as page views, traffic sources, country-level location data, and general reader activity.
Ghost’s native analytics are first-party and cookie-free. They are used to understand what people are reading and how the site is performing.
If you sign up as a free member or join the newsletter, the main thing collected is your email address. Your name may also be collected if you choose to provide it, but it is optional.
If you leave a comment, Ghost stores the comment and connects it to your member account so you can manage your comments.
If you become a paid supporter, payment is handled through Stripe. I do not store your full card details.
If you buy a digital product through Gumroad, that purchase is handled by Gumroad.
Cookies
Ghost does not set non-essential cookies by default.
Some cookies or temporary session data may be used for basic website functions, such as member login, account access, comments, and checkout.
If I ever add third-party tools that use tracking cookies, such as advertising tools, external analytics, or similar services, I will update this page.
Newsletter
The newsletter is free to join and easy to leave.
Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link.
If you unsubscribe from the newsletter as a free member, I will treat that as a request to remove your member account from this site. Your account will be deleted from Ghost.
If you are a paid supporter and want to cancel, you can manage your subscription through your account. After cancellation, you can also request account deletion.
Payments
Supporter memberships are processed by Stripe. Digital product purchases are processed by Gumroad.
Those services may keep payment records for legal, tax, fraud prevention, and transaction purposes according to their own policies, but I keep nothing of that sort.
Your Information
You can unsubscribe at any time.
You can also contact me if you want your member account or personal information removed from this site.
I do not sell your personal data. I only use your information to run the site, send the newsletter, manage comments, process memberships, and keep the project working properly.
