Children

Children often enter foster care with only the clothes on their back. Many sit in offices for hours while caseworkers search for a willing foster home.

Vulnerable Adults

As youth age out of the foster care system, many do so without the love or guidance of family and remain at risk.

Foster & Kinship Families

Foster and Kinship families face many challenges caring for children who’ve experienced trauma. Many end up feeling physically and emotionally unprepared.

Agency Workers

Foster care workers carry heavy caseloads that require complicated decisions, leading to high levels of burnout which affects children in care.

Support for Teens Aging Out of Foster Care

23,000 teens age out of foster care every year in the United States. Many become homeless, pregnant, incarcerated, unemployed, or trafficked. Lifesong for Orphans partners with My Family’s Farm to provide youth aging out of foster care with a place to call home and people to call family.

On a 8-acre working farm, the young adults we serve cultivate character through daily farm chores, gain work experience at the family business, attend weekly life-skills classes, and learn how to live and communicate as part of a healthy community.
