Nesamani Maran Muthu, widely recognized as MGM Maran, is a preeminent Indian industrialist and the Vice Chairman of the MGM Group of Companies and the Magnum Global Group. As the Director and Promoter of MGM Muthu Hotels and Resorts, he has masterminded one of the most ambitious international expansion chapters in Indian hospitality, overseeing a global portfolio of over 50 hotels and 8,000 rooms across India, the UK, Europe, Cuba, Kenya, and Jamaica. A second-generation leader, Maran Muthu is the custodian of a storied Rs. 2,500 crore conglomerate founded in 1963 by his late father, Chevalier Dr. M.G. Muthu. His strategic oversight extends across diverse sectors, including logistics, sustainable agriculture, international trade, and the IMFL business through Southern Agrifurane Industries. He also manages the group’s entertainment interests, such as MGM Dizzee World, and the Marrybrown India fast-food franchise.
