What is this piercing called and possible cons? by Low-Court-6718 in piercing

[–]-_IVI_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a piercing that exits the bottom of your nostril rim and points towards the ground. They’re very anatomy specific so you don’t see it often. If you’re curious DM me and I can send you some examples from Insta, my links will get censored here.

There’s video of the entire encounter, including what he was doing before the chase and abduction. But go ahead and keep your head in the sand where it’s comfortable, bootlicker.

A lot of body mod artists travel, so just because there’s no one permanently near you doesn’t mean they won’t be coming through. r/bodymods can help you find or vet an artist.

Could this work as an alternative industrial? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]-_IVI_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve come across it a few times:

Two-point

Three-point

Four-point

So it’s definitely possible, best of luck finding a piercer who can help you execute this killer look!

A piercing is the hole in your body, not a piece of jewelry (if you want to talk about getting common knowledge wrong.)

Good luck catching flies with that vinegar wit.

Your post said “just got” and “recently,” not a year ago. Apologies for the outdated advice.

That jewelry is inappropriate for healing, you can see the front is hanging down a lot lower than the back, which you shouldn’t even be able to see. The movement and weight will cause your piercing to heal crooked and not be as hidden as you’d like. Swap it to a flat back or barbell for a few months at least.

Does anyone here ever seen a vertical "helix-to-rook-to-conch" industrial? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]-_IVI_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen it done once, but couldn’t dig up an image to share. It is technically possible, but you’ll have to check with your piercer to see if your anatomy supports it. It’s such a specific piercing you’re probably not going to find anyone here who has the exact thing you’re looking for, but in the right circumstances it would definitely be possible to bend a bar to connect all three. Healing journey would probably be like any other industrial: long and challenging. Connecting two (conch to rook) and letting that heal, then adding the helix down the road would definitely be the move.

Images below for people unfamiliar with exotic industrials, I know OP got a lot of skeptical reactions last time they posted.

You get the jewelry back, so you can reuse it on someone else?

You really need a piercer to evaluate your anatomy, there’s not much strangers can tell you from just a photo. Even if you’re underage they they may allow you to schedule a consult (often at no charge).

That said, if it turns out you don’t have the anatomy for a traditional industrial don’t lose hope! There are lots of fun alternatives like floating, chaindeconstructed, and vertical industrials!

I’ve been thinking about the vertical industrial earring pain from Naruto has. I know nothing about earrings and am wondering if that earring is possible because it doesn’t have anything at the ends, and also where would I get it. by [deleted] in piercing

I’ve seen it done but lot of the unique vertical industrials, including this one, are posted fresh without any follow-up which makes me worry about their long-term viability. That one looks like it’s rubbing against his flat already. Make sure your piercer has examples of healed complex work like this, and make sure you can get to them quickly if something goes wrong. The healing process for these is always long and often complicated, and you’ll be in trouble if your piercer is hours away.

If you have the anatomy for this piercing the long bar out the bottom would only be possible when the piercing is fully healed (12-18 months), and probably only comfortable for short periods of time. I have two vertical industrials that exit the conch in that same place and hated the long bars I wore during healing, which weren’t as long as you’re thinking.

As others have said industrials are incredibly dependent on your individual anatomy. Be open-minded when you go in for a consult, odds are it’s not going to work out. If you’re not able to get this exact piercing there are still other options (helix to rook industrial + vertical conch) that you might be eligible for that can give you a similar look.
