We believe in supporting open source developers. If you've created a project that has gained traction in the community with 100+ GitHub stars, you qualify for our developer credits program. Follow these 5 simple steps to claim your $50 credit.

1

Verify Your Eligibility

Review and agree to our terms and conditions

Please review and confirm each of the following requirements. You must check all boxes to proceed with your application.

3

Identify Your Eligible GitHub Repository

Confirm your open source project meets requirements

You must have a public GitHub repository that meets these criteria:

  • You must own the repository - The repository must be under your GitHub account or an organization you control
  • At least 100 stars - Your repository must have legitimately earned 100 or more GitHub stars
  • GitHub Account Age - Your GitHub account must be at least 1 year old (365 days)
  • No artificial inflation - We do not accept repositories that have used services like Gitstar or other star-buying services
  • One repository per credit claim - Each repository can only be used once, even if deleted or if your account is deleted

Important: We maintain a permanent record of all repositories used for credit claims. Using the same repository twice across different accounts will result in rejection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as a "legitimate" project with artificial star inflation?

We manually review projects flagged for verification. We look for suspicious patterns like sudden massive star increases, lack of commit history, or indicators of purchased stars. If we detect that your stars were purchased or inflated artificially, we will reject your application.

Can I use the same repository for multiple credit claims?

No. Each repository can only be used once across all accounts. Even if you delete the repository or your account, we maintain a permanent record. Using the same repository multiple times will result in rejection and potential account suspension.

How long does verification take?

Our system runs automatic verification every 24 hours. However, if manual review is needed, it may take 2-5 business days. Once verified, your $50 credit is applied immediately to your account.

What if my verification is rejected?

If your application is rejected, you'll receive an email explaining why. Common reasons include using a temporary email, providing incorrect GitHub URLs, or repository not meeting the star requirement. You cannot reapply with the same repository, but you may apply again with a different eligible repository.

Do my credits expire?

No! Your $50 credit never expires. You can use it to register subdomains whenever you want, as long as your account remains active and in good standing.

What if I violate the terms after claiming credits?

Violations of any terms will result in immediate account suspension and deletion of all domains without notice. This includes spam, phishing, proxy activity, trademark violations, and any other abuse detected by our systems or reported by users.

Can I claim credits for a GitHub organization?

Yes, as long as you are an owner of the organization. The GitHub Gist must still be from your personal account. Contact support if you have questions about organization eligibility.
