Cappadocia fell in love with me as soon as I stepped in. With a vast panorama in every direction like a picture in a book, magnificent fairy chimneys, cave homes, and wavy valleys were scribed by the artist of nature over millennia of time. I could tell instantly that this was going to be no ordinary trip. It would not only be a trip that combined adventure and luxury, seeing the raw beauty of nature mingle with high fashion and memories, but also this once-in-a-lifetime experience. My sunrise flight in a hot air balloon and being a guest in one of the more renowned hotels of the carpet land would be two of the most memorable things that would ever happen in my life as a traveler.

LA VIE EN LUXE: MY LAVISH PARIS DIARY

The Eiffel Tower, the symbol of the city and the country, kicked off my Parisian adventure. Having seen countless pictures of it, I wasn’t prepared for the breathtaking experience of actually standing in front of its immense iron structure. The sheer size and elegance of the tower are absolutely awe-inspiring. I climbed the tower, and it offered a panoramic view of Paris. Up there, it felt as though the streets, buildings, and the waters of the Seine River below were just the size of doll land, and at the same time, it also felt like there was so much I could fit here somehow in the up there, possibly making myself small and something big in the process. The balcony was soothing in the soft breeze compared to the hustle and bustle of the city, which lay down below. The city lights all came on as the sun set, and it was magical watching the sunset from the tower. The experience was a perfect introduction to a city that is rich in both culture and beauty.
