2 months, 2 weeks - In today's Daily Fix:Developer Playground Games has revealed the full map for the upcoming Forza Horizon 6. The game will be set in Japan, specifically in Tokyo and the surrounding countryside. In other news, dataminers have unearthed a hidden cutscene and dialogue for Elden Ring. The cutscene features Miquella planting a haligtree sapling, but no one's sure exactly why the scene was cut from the final release. And finally, Pokémon Champions is out now, but it's underwhelming many fans. Some are complaining about lack of Pokémon to battle with, performance issues on Switch 2, and the surprising absence of local wireless play.

1 year, 1 month - In today's Daily Fix:Boutique film studio A24 has confirmed the rumored Elden Ring movie adaptation is actually happening, and acclaimed director Alex Garland (Civil War, Ex Machina) will write and direct. George R.R. Martin, who contributed lore and story elements to the game, is coming aboard as a producer, but no story or casting details have been made available. It's also unclear what game director Hidetaka Miyazaki's role will be, if any. In other news, the FTC vs Microsoft trial over the $69-billion-dollar acquisition of Activision Blizzard King may be officially coming to an end. The FTC is dropping its challenge to the ruling, which cleared the way for the industry-shaking deal. And finally, Marvel Studios is shifting its MCU lineup again, pushing back release dates of several projects, including Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. They are now slated for December 2026 and December 2027, respectively.

1 year, 4 months - For its next game, Elden Ring Nightreign, FromSoftware is going all-in on the bosses. This roguelike-ish co-op game is fully combat focused, with each of Nightreign’s runs pitting players against an increasingly difficult set of bosses. And, as the first trailer revealed, some of those bosses are returning foes from the Dark Souls series, including the majestic Nameless King. With all this in mind, we asked ourselves: what are the best boss fights FromSoftware has made? We considered battles from across FromSoftware’s “Soulsborne” style games – Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Demon’s Souls, and the Dark Souls trilogy. We assessed not just the challenge of each fight, but every element of the battle: the music, the setting, the mechanical complexity, the lore significance, and many other details.
