We take it out of its simple but sleek packaging and show off what comes in the box.The Steam Machine will come in two variants: the 512GB model costs $1,049, while the 2TB model, which comes with two extra interchangeable faceplates, costs $1,349. Both models can be bundled with the Steam Controller for an additional $79.

2 days, 8 hours - Ever since the Steam Machine was revealed in November 2025, Valve was telling us that it was just another option for folks hoping to get into PC gaming. Recently, we got a chance to sit down with Valve Engineers Pierre-Loup Griffais and Yazan Aldehayyat to discuss the Steam Machine, and how it was made. And, well, it sounds like Valve was able to achieve everything it wanted to with the Machine, except for the price. Even there, though, it sounds like Valve was able to at least mitigate the impact the RAM crisis had on the Steam Machine.
