We work to remove barriers and fill in gaps so educators can do what’s most important – inspiring and educating students.
Since our inception, shift_ed has remained focused on one singular goal – to ensure that all children have access to a quality education and have a tangible path towards economic mobility.
Our work and how we tell the story of that work continues to evolve as the needs of students and educators change. But our focus has never wavered. Our work is consistently grounded in research, and we align our work with school systems’ experience-based needs.
The Teacher Supply Warehouse
Guilford County Schools educators – Shop for free new and gently-used classroom supplies! The new Warehouse at 134 Franklin Blvd, GSO will re-open for shopping on July 21st. Register to shop by clicking the link on the left.
Donate supplies: Donate new or gently-used supplies and help us keep the shelves of the Warehouse stocked for educators! Donations are accepted at the Warehouse at 134 Franklin Blvd, GSO from 10am – 5pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Download Donation Guidelines below.

The new Teacher Supply Warehouse space has allowed us to expand our offering for GCS educators. Help us stock specialized items that teachers need by shopping on our Amazon Wish Lists. Lists are segmented by theme. Purchase items and they will be sent directly to the Warehouse! It’s never been easier to make an impact.
Become an SEO Scholar
Current 8th grade students are eligible to apply to shift_ed’s SEO Scholar program. The program starts in 9th grade and runs through college to support students in the college career.
Apply for a shift_ed Scholarship
The shift_ed Scholarship helps Guilford County students make college possible by covering last-dollar tuition costs at NC public colleges and universities, as well as partnered private NC institutions.
