A Walk to Remember; By Nicholas Sparks

a_walk_to_remember1When it comes to my 17th birthday it’s so normal and I’m like “Yeah, whatever!” but when it comes to have the greatest gifts ever I’m like “Ohhh Yeah!”

Some people say that music is their life and yeah I love music but when you say that something means your life or represents your life, then you have to pick something that is precious in some way so I may say that Reading is my life, since I was 10 and till now that’s what I figured about myself lately! And figuring out this thing made me realize that I should continue doing this, because it makes me happy in a way during reading and it makes me wonder in another way how authors work so well and hard to produce a book, I mean it’s so simple to read and imagine what you are reading at the same time at least for me, but thinking about what a hard work authors do to benefit us (Readers) and benefit themselves by earning money is really amazing, but not just money I mean if I’m an author which I hope to be one day, I would be very happy when I’m writing not just because I’m earning money also because I would be enjoying the feeling in helping and entertaining others (Readers) through my writings or through my book!

So let’s get inside this amazing book which was one of the most amazing gifts ever in my 17th birthday! …. When I looked at the cover of the book, I figured out that It looks like a romantic and a little bit sad story but after reading the chapters one after one, I noticed that it’s really funny at first then it comes the saddest part ever which they are the last three chapters.

During reading, I figured out that I’m that kind of a reader that loves reading anything, any novel, and any book except Politics and thanks God that this book is way too far from politics! But at the same time I’m the kind that doesn’t love watching romantic or even drama movies; I prefer those Action ones with guns, killers and fights! I know that now you are wondering how contradictory am I?! haha 😛 But then that’s how I feel about reading and watching movies, they are completely different things! So now You as a reader should realize that I liked the book more than the movie and if you did not realize it before, then I have already told you that!

What I liked about this book the most; the way that the author (Nicholas Sparks) writes, I mean it’s that completely funny and humble way in funny moments and at the same time the sad and passionate way in sad moments. He writes in a way that makes me imagine him next to me and telling me the story in my face as simple as that! And the way he makes fun of something or someone, it’s totally hilarious. There was a sentence that caught my attention in the first page of the book, it says “First you will smile, and then you will cry – don’t say you haven’t been warned….” And for your information it’s #1 New York Times Bestselling Author.

The story is all about the time when the 57 years old man is remembering himself when he was 17 years old and how his life changed forever in that time back in 1958. How he remembers everything in its tiny details, as if he grabbed us back to 1958 in his high school when he suddenly fall in love with the most annoying girl he has ever met in his life, how he tries to avoid his friends during meeting her because he knew that they will make fun of him as long as he was and they were that kind of students who make troubles and hurt others feelings. She always kept saying to him that she sees something special in him despite all his mistakes and wrong attitudes, because she has a deep faith iimagesCA7POVS8n him since the first day that they started seeing each other. She kept holding her Bible with her all the time, she helped everyone that needs a help, and she visited the orphanage each week, so she was that kind of a girl who is so good and does everything good to please God and herself! Also her father was a reverend so it’s like a faithful family.

Then a long while passed after she told him that she was sick with leukemia (Cancer) when he admitted that he loves her, she simply said “I’m sick London!” He was so angry about it and so sorry for herself and himself at the same time because he will lose his love forever. He always asked her the same questions each time he saw her “Aren’t you frightened?” “Why God planned this for you while you are so good and like an angel?” She kept answering him that “It’s the Lord’s plan!”

Each time he saw her after knowing that she was sick, she was getting so weak but as he described her that she was beautiful at least in his eyes! Days passed when they kept reading the Bible together when he figured out that he had faith in it somehow because of her (Jamie). In the last days the Bible helped him to stay faithful and coherent despite all the circumstances that he was facing that God let them be in his life maybe to learn a lesson  as Jamie saw in him that he could change to a better person.

He asked her something th1hee0g8oweb3be8at meant so much to him and to her at the same time because it was her dream “Will you marry me Jamie?!”

And then it was their wedding when her father said his words as a reverend in front of London’s father and mother and his friends from the high school who were so sad and sorry for them at the same time because of Jamie’s situation. She passed away in a month or so and he still loves her after 40 years as if he was 17 again!

It’s not just like how I’m telling you the story of course because it’s sadder in the author’s words with no doubt! It’s hard to explain it in my way after reading it in such a fabulous one.

What I decided to do after reading this book is of course not trying to find a London for me haha 😛 Instead of that I’ll read all Spark’s books! 😀
