After going waaaayy over my pacing threshold last weekend by just making some coleslaw (the surprises that #MECFS throws at you 🤦...), I am taking it easy this weekend. Some more #sewing lined up if my energy is ok tomorrow, and some light code tinkering. I have also accomplished some minor digital administrivia that had been sitting around for a couple of weeks.

Absolutely fell down the rabbit hole this morning exploring this collection of old postcards and their messages on Onceposted.

Over the last century the writing style became less formal, but the obsession with communicating the state of the weather did not 😂

Do check out the London Airport one from 1962 - Coco (I think) is intriguing. So many stories could be woven around these cards.

The past week has not been a great one for one reason or another, so I feel like the first week of my annual leave has been ‘wasted’. Trying to pick up my mood and make the best of the week to come.

It may just be me, but whenever I search my synced iOS Vivaldi tabs on my desktop Vivaldi I think, how on Earth do I have so many tabs open on the phone?

I like weekends where my hobbies include: 1) things that are thousands of years old and 2) things from this century. 1) was trying to dye my handspun yarn with eucalyptus leaves and 2) setting up a really nice kitty terminal config on NixOS.

Struck lucky! Despite the chunky and somewhat uncomfortable sleep test equipment (my finger has never felt so squeezed) I slept pretty well last night.

Not nearly enough sleep last night, and I have to pick up an at home sleep test from the hospital this afternoon. So the test is either going to find I sleep like a log or not at all (because of the weirdness of wearing the equipment). #ME/CFS

It took a bit of trial and error, but I think I got EchoFeed hooked up correctly to post my some.pics posts to Mastodon. No actual image in the first (now deleted), a surfeit of hash symbols on the hashtags on a later one (my fault - I didn't notice that the field takes the bare tags), but I think otherwise it is looking good - w00t!

Connecting up things like photos and status on omg.lol to my own domain. Thanks to @wq@vim.wtf for the pointers. I had been putting it off, but it was very easy in the end! 🎉 Next step (once the domain has resolved fully) is to link it up with Echofeed.

Realising that I’ve got a longer road ahead of me than I had thought for my #MECFS recovery (whatever that might look like). Glad to be on that road, though I have only just laced up my walking boots.

Enjoying being on holiday, and not having to set the alarm.
