going live right now, streaming the journey to mastery for Dr. Mario 64! just four days ago was Dr. Mario 64's 25-year anniversary! in celebration, i'm going for the 11 remaining achievements i need for mastery. and check out the controller i'm using! :)

i've made some updates to the streaming homepage, , so now anyone can see the achievements tracker and streaming schedule right from the homepage :) the schedule is available as a public calendar .ics file for anyone who wants to subscribe from their calendar app.

the stream layout looks a little different now, too. for the 11 achievements i still need, i added a livesplits overlay where each achievement is a split, so that i can time how long each achievement takes to complete. below that is an achievement tracker showing progress towards mastery as well as the names and descriptions of the next three achievements i'm working towards. there's also now a timestamp in the top-right corner, which I think will be nice to have both for streaming and VODs.

the chat and emoji wall are still there :) if you're lucky to catch a livestream, be sure to spam your favorite emojis in chat to see them all float by on screen!

i'm very happy to introduce: !! 🎉🎉 this is a self-hosted instance of peertube which i will be using for uploading and sharing clips and VODs from livestreams and playthroughs!! the very first video is already uploaded and available for viewing 😄 it is the perfect run of levels 0 to 20 in the germ buster mode of dr. mario online rx, which was also the final achievement i needed for mastery!! check it out !

this 28 minute video came out to a little under 400MB, and at first I didn't have any additional storage space. so yesterday i added a 70GB volume to the machine hosting all of my various services and now there's enough space for about 175 videos of the same length 😊

let's goooooo, first mastery!! what a grind, what a joy to play dr mario all day and all night for the huge hyped wii launch weekend!! all those moments where it seemed out of reach, all of those times the emoji wall blocked my screen so I couldnt even see 😂 all the effort came together in the end 😊 i'm going to need to rest a bit before the next big grind 😆

stay tuned for the VOD!! it will take me a bit of time to prepare it, though, because we streamed for over 26 hours!! my RA profile shows for Dr Mario Online Rx: "Mastered in 26 hours, 20 minutes over 2 days, 1 hour" 🤭 now that's a good, long stream! and what a fun stream it was!!! oh my gosh now that I've done one and have everything all setup, im itching to stream some more :) so stay tuned, ill have a schedule up at some point too. I'm serious about beating and reviewing all 785 of these games, this is going to take me years. and how fun that it's just beginning, and what a way to start it than with a 26 hour mastery grind of my favorite series dr mario!! 🔥❤️🫶

first pass through the wii games and i focused on adding my favorites. i ended up adding 42! my big list of games is now at 770 :) gonna update the tomorrow! basically all of my favorite wii games are ready at launch! twilight princess, smash bros brawl, mario kart wii, super mario galaxy, super mario galaxy 2, super paper mario, wii sports, and more! i can't wait to scroll through all of the achievement lists to see the names and requirements and badges. it looks like there are some intense masteries. animal crossing city folk has 189 achievements! brawl has 375!! 🫢 it's time to dig up all of my peripherals, gonna need that wii zapper for link's crossbow training 😁

it's finally here!! after much anticipation and hype, the incredible gamers behind have launched Wii achievements!! the launch is epic, with a whopping 181 games now ready for achievement hunting! my big game of lists is currently at 720, so we'll see where it's at after scrolling through the wii games 😊 so excited, feeling like '06 again 🥹

the launch brought in a new all-time high record for the RA website, and I was there for it!! 🎉
