Having finished the delicious and very filling lunch in Fitzroy, I shall now slowly walk/roll my way back to the city.

Walked into the wine bar at the right time. Filled up around me and now there’s a queue.

Catching the Skybus from Melbourne airport into the city. A delightful 17° is a pleasant change from the 35° Brisbane was yesterday.

Explaining to the cat I have not finished the tappity tap for the day and it’s the tappity tap which keeps her fed.

Also indicating the tappity tap is difficult to do when she keeps walking across the keyboard.

As an adult on a 37.5°c day, I’m having ice cream with lunch.

An evening walk because I’ve been sitting down for far too long this afternoon.

Today is mainly about setting and checking tags and aliases but I might also continue the manual migration of older posts.

Why work a full day when you can finish at 11 and go to cocktails and lunch.

Afternoon outing to the Cinematic performance by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Starting with the only thing it can - the main title from Star Wars then straight into the shark theme from Jaws.

Queensland Symphony tonight. A mix of Dukas, Franck and Ravel. Looking forward to the Sorcerer’s Apprentice!

Karaoke and wine on a Thursday night. A school night! I may regret this tomorrow.

Time to put my feet up. The walk back to the hotel after dinner has me at 19,734 steps for the day and I just can’t be bothered doing the last few to hit 20k.

Have made a trip to the hat factory and may have accidentally purchased a few.

Back at the hotel after a pretty full day. Walked 17,054 steps, wandered all around Te Papa, museum of New Zealand, and checked out some little bars.

On my feet most of the day so checking out a funky bar and sampling a locally brewed beer from Garage Project, Wellington NZ.

Today’s plan is to spend a big chunk of it in Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand.

A lovely 22°c night to sit out on the balcony and have dinner. The cat is sitting staring intently at the spot she saw a gecko two days ago.

A lovely sunny day and it’s 25°c at 5pm and slowly cooling down. After all the wet weather lately it’s good to see a proper autumn day. A lot of the neighbourhood agrees with me judging by the number of people also out along the river and in the park.

Sometimes you can get all your chores done early on a Saturday. Other times the cat goes to sleep in your lap and you have no option but to keep reading your book.

Work mode off. Long lunch mode on.

Blue sunny sky and 30°c is much nicer for a walk than the rain of the last few days.

Started a game of Civilisation VI and now it’s “just one more turn” before I do other things.

Being a rebel, I have gone out for a walk without my umbrella.

Escaped from work for the day and thinking about a longer escape. Walking along the river and mentally planning out my upcoming trip to Melbourne.

The body corporate committee has had our daily cyclone prep meeting and has decided we’re going for a beer at the local pub as it’s staying open.

I do love a price match. JB HiFi matched the Amazon AU price on Bose Quiet Comfort headphones. A $200 difference plus I don’t give money to Amazon. The saving went towards a Kobo Clara to replace my kindle.

Went for a walk along the river. Now sitting in the beer garden of the local enjoying a cold beer and writing some notes in my notebook. All of these are good for my mental health.

Catching up on writing some Letterboxd reviews. I need to stay up to date or it becomes to much of a chore and then I write none.

Collecting the cat from the vet. Phone call earlier said she is well after her dental clean. My wallet will not be well.

It’s time to settle in and watch the last episode of Slow Horses S4. This show is so good but I can’t wait for weekly drops so held off and then watched the first five episodes over the last two nights ready for the final.
