What is tempe?




Tempe is fermented process that binds together (beans, grains, seed, even other substrate) with Rhizopus sp (tempe mould) become a firm meaty texture.
High in protein and contains vit B12 as plant based alternative. Tempe is versatile ingredients to cook, such as grilled, stewed, fried, or even as sweet dessert. Yum!
What are the difference between tempe & tofu?


Tempe is fermented while the cousin, tofu is unfermented. Because it’s double fermentation, protein of tempe is breakdown and easier to digest in your body.
Nutrition of tempe?


100 gr soy tempe contains more or less 20 gr of protein. Tempe is really good for (MPASI) as a side nutrition of mother’s breast milk for babies ages up to 6 months. It also provides nutrition to prevent stunting for the kids.
