Sunday Services

We meet for worship on Sundays. There are two services weekly at St Mary’s in Thame and one a month at St Catherine’s in Towersey. Services from St Mary’s are streamed and available for catch-up on demand.
On weekdays there is online Morning Prayer and Compline.

Prayer

Prayer is at the heart of all we do at Thame Church, as we seek to love God and to bless our town. It is perhaps the main way we can welcome God into our lives. If you would like prayer, there are opportunities on Sunday in the services, in our home groups, or do get in touch if you would like to.

Being church is about far more than formal meetings. We have a number of regular events and activities to enable our Christian community to flourish, and to help us grow in and live out our faith. We have small groups, music groups, an Eco Action group and many more.

Children and Young People

Our heart is to be an inter-generational church where we all learn from one another. On Sunday mornings at 11am we have Kids Church for 4s-11s, a youth group for school year 7 up, and a monthly all-age service. Our young people learn, explore and grow in faith in their day-to-day lives.

How to find us

St Mary’s Church, Thame

The church building is open Monday – Saturday from 11am to 4.30pm (except when there are bookings), and Sunday from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

St Catherine’s Church, Towersey

The church building is open daily from 10am to 4pm for quiet reflection and prayer.

Parking

Both church buildings are easy to find but both have limited parking available so please protect the environment and arrive on foot if possible. For St Mary’s limited parking is generally available in Priest End. For St Catherine’s please park considerately on local streets or use the Playing Fields car park.
