Threads

Threads is the official Threads app for Windows. This microblogging social network from Meta, integrated with Instagram, is the main competitor of X (Twitter). To access it, you have to log in with your Instagram account. After that, in Threads you can follow all Instagram profiles and users that you already follow and have a Threads account. As a result, you will find content you like from the very beginning.

Create content or interact with other users' content

In Threads, you can interact with newly posted content by "liking" a post, reposting it, or replying with a comment below it. You can also create a post from scratch. You can post text, photos, videos or links in both replies and new content, making for richer interactions. Text messages are limited to 500 characters for all users.

The Threads menu is located on the left side of the screen. There you will find the Home button, the Search button, the Notifications button, and the Account button. Your notifications will show you all the interactions that Threads users have with your content.

Threads is a WebApp that, through the Microsoft Edge engine, allows you to directly access the social media platform with its native Windows app. As a result, even though it is the web version, with the app you will always be logged in regardless of your web browser, in addition to having direct access and a specific window for the app. It also automatically adapts to the configured Windows theme, either light or dark. If you have it set up so that the theme changes depending on the time of day, the app will also change automatically.
