Your scanner says it's vulnerable. The binary says otherwise. New research shows how version-based vulnerability detection creates both false positives and blind spots—and why product security teams need to verify binaries, not just version numbers. hubs.la/Q04k7X450

Writing Rust-based IDA plugins is as simple as implementing IDAPlugin and using an attribute macro to define metadata. The crate handles the rest!

Risk is inherently organization and product specific, and in our opinion, combining the strengths of existing systems and frameworks while allowing for customization is a better solution for solving the prioritization problem than previous efforts which fail to look at risk

Relying on a single metric like CVSS or EPSS can miss critical product or organizational context. BRS brings consistency to comparing different risks, such as a known high-severity vulnerability with a PoC versus a potential zero-day.

What sets BRS apart is its flexibility and transparency. It is configured through product-, organization-, or ecosystem-specific risk profiles and is built to incorporate a wide range of existing metrics.

we will present our work on practical binary type recovery at ACM CODASPY '26! prior work rarely focused on applicability: too slow, no meaningful filtering mechanisms, unsound struct recovery we address these gaps and present a system for headless type recovery at scale

Spent the evening digging through the code. The engineering behind this is 🤌 deeply complex, yet full of elegant, high-leverage tricks to keep it fast. If you work on similar problems, there’s a lot here to learn from.
