Impressive progress on correspondence -- one of the oldest and yet still hardest problems in computer vision -- using test-time-opt/NeRF. tldr: find mapping from 3d points in per-frame 3d coord. systems to their unique global trajectory index (i,j,k) omnimotion.github.io

Something that's surprised me while observing recent progress in GenAI, especially text-to-video, is how simple and straightforward the extensions are to text-to-image models, to make them spit out coherent video. In fact, the simpler the approach, the better the results. (1/N)🧵

In March, I successfully defended my PhD thesis. I was honored to have @jhhays, @fdellaert, @zsoltkira, @PradalierCedric, and Simon Lucey serve on my committee. I've now joined Waymo Research as a Research Scientist, which I'm thrilled about.

No matter how early I start a paper, it always comes down to 11:59pm PST for some reason... fingers crossed for some solid #iccv2021 reviewers

Great overview on the parallelism techniques needed for LLM training/inference from the new CS336 class at Stanford (Tatsunori Hashimoto & Percy Liang): youtube.com/watch?v=l1RJcD…. Info-dense and doesn't shy away from the technical details!

Thrilled to share that the amazing work of @stan188249301 (@maxjiang93's and I's intern at Waymo Research last summer) is accepted to CVPR 2025! SceneDiffuser++ fulfills a vision we've had in mind for several years, and we weren't sure if it was even possible. More details soon!

Put together a fun new course project with @jhhays for students in the grad CV class at GaTech -- implementing PSPNet and training it on Camvid data. Amazing how few lines of Pytorch code are needed to implement it (especially thinking back to Caffe ☠️). Project link below👇
