The Honest Truth
Things you might be wondering (and our honest answers)
"Are you one of those startups dreaming of being the next big thing?"
Nope. We're deliberately small and plan to stay that way. No flashy offices, no ping-pong tables, no growth-at-all-costs mentality. Just good technology that works, built by people who know what they're doing.
"So who's behind this?"
Hi, I'm David. I've spent 25+ years building and leading tech teams, including a decade at modest Swedish streaming company where I founded the reliability team. I've seen how things work at both big and small companies. The big lesson? Keeping things simple usually works better than making them complicated.
"Why should I trust you?"
Because I'm staking my time on this. I've built reliable systems for some of the biggest tech companies in the world, but now I'm choosing to do something smaller and more focused. Why? Because I believe great products don't need massive teams or complicated infrastructure.
"What's your business model? Are you going to sell my data?"
No way. We make money by charging fair prices for services that work well. We don't track you, we don't sell data, and we don't need venture capital. Just simple, sustainable business where happy customers == success.
"What happens if this doesn't work out?"
Then we'll shut it down gracefully. If that day comes, we'll refund any unused credits and help you transition your data. No sudden disappearances, no corporate speak about "exciting new journeys".
"What's your growth strategy?"
sigh You've been reading too many startup blogs. Here's our radical growth strategy:
- Make things that work well
- Charge fair prices
- Use the money to:
- Keep the servers running (they're modest but reliable)
- Pay for another person like me (because everyone needs backup)
- Keep myself fed (I have simple tastes)
- Repeat
"But how will you scale?"
We'll scale when we need to, not because a spreadsheet says we should. I've built systems that handle millions of users, but I've also seen companies collapse under the weight of premature scaling. We're choosing to stay lean and efficient.
"This all sounds too simple..."
Exactly! We're not here to revolutionize the industry or disrupt paradigms. We're here to do a few things really well, without the usual tech industry bloat. Sometimes simple is better.
