Analysis

FanDuel. He burned me in his last outing, but I’m going back to the well and betting the under on Chase Burns’ outs line against the Brewers. Milwaukee is arguably my favorite team to back for an outs prop under, as they have the lowest team chase rate, and are consistent at the plate (.788 OPS with a 120 wRC+ against righties over the last two weeks). Burns can be wild against lefties, as his walk rate spikes to 11%. I expect the Brewers to have 5-6 southpaws in the lineup today, utilizing a patient approach to look to chase the Reds ace early (all puns throughout were unfortunately intended).

Analysis

Brewers phenom Jacob Misiorowski has a 0.60 WHIP over his last 10 starts. In that span, which dates to the start of May, he has notched a win eight times. While the Reds trot out their own ace in Chase Burns, there is no comparison between these lineups. Cincinnati brings one of MLB's worst offenses and has mustered seven runs in losing the first three games in Milwaukee. Look for Misiorowski to pitch deep into the game and pick up his 10th win of the season.

Rockies starter Michael Lorenzen owns an 8.20 ERA in eight starts at Coors Field. Over the last two weeks, the Marlins have OPS totals in the mid-.800s, both on the road and against right-handed pitching. They should score some runs. Marlins starter Ryan Gusto will only go 3-4 innings, but he’s allowed just one run over his last two starts and gives way to a Marlins bullpen with a 3.12 ERA since mid-June.

Slade Cecconi has pitched well of late as he’s allowed two earned runs or fewer in five straight starts. Cleveland has struggled without Jose Ramirez as the team as been hitting .217 over the last 30 days. Davis Martin does pitch the best at home but has also done well on the road despite two rough outing against the Yankees and Twins. Martin has allowed one earned run or fewer in three of his last four starts as well.

Analysis

Not sure the Braves should be dogs so I'll take the insurance instead of the small ML. The teams have played 46 one-run game between them and really all looking for. Not quite sure which Dustin May (5-6, 4.30 ERA) shows up for the Cards but he was rocked last time out. Even less sure which Hurston Waldrep we get for Atlanta. He was quite good as a rookie in 2025 but has made just one big-league appearance this year with two scoreless innings. If Hurston is married, her name better be "Lovey." The Cards have never seen the 24-year-old.
